Congressman Glenn Grothman (R-WI-06) issued the following statement after Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) was elected Speaker of the House: “I am proud to congratulate Mike Johnson on becoming the 56th Speaker of the House of Representatives,” said Grothman. “As a former constitutional lawyer and man of deep Christian faith, Speaker Johnson is committed to promoting conservative policies and returning our nation to its founding principles. “Speaker Johnson and I have had a good relationship during his tenure as Chairman of the Republican Study Committee and Vice-Chairman of the Republican Conference.
