National Association of Manufacturers Award
I was honored to receive the National Association of Manufacturers Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence on Wednesday night.

I was also honored to have Glen Tellock, President and CEO of Manitowoc's Lakeside Foods and one of the Sixth District's manufacturers, with me when I received the award.

I also had the opportunity to visit with other Wisconsinites, including Ryan Swanson, who represented Wisconsin in the 2017 National You Be The Chemist Challenge, and the Wisconsin Propane Gas Association.

Career and Technical Education
Yesterday, I voted to pass a bill strengthening career and technical education through the House.

The bill to give states more flexibility when using federal funds to support career and technical education programs, and will be an important step to grow our economy, lower our unemployment rate, fill the jobs we already have available and create new jobs.
