Recess Recap: August in Wisconsin's Sixth District

After a productive month back in Wisconsin’s Sixth District, I’m back in Washington, energized and ready to continue serving you.

Throughout August, I spent valuable time meeting with constituents, spreading the word on all the great wins in the Big Beautiful Bill, visiting hardworking men and women across our factories and small businesses, and, most importantly, listening to the people I represent so I can continue delivering results in Washington.

From touring world-class manufacturers to connecting at community events that make our district special, I heard what's on your mind. Whether it was families sharing their top priorities, small business owners fighting through burdensome red tape, or workers proud of the jobs strengthened by the Big Beautiful Bill’s pro-growth policies, these conversations reaffirmed why I fight every day for Wisconsin.

House Republicans remain committed to working with President Trump to build on these wins: cutting waste, securing our border, expanding tax relief for families, and unleashing more opportunity here at home. The Big Beautiful Bill was a monumental first step, and it’s only the beginning.

Now that we’re back in the Capitol, we’re wasting no time pushing forward. Thank you to everyone in Wisconsin’s Sixth District who made this district work period meaningful and fulfilling. I’m eager to hit the ground running this fall to keep serving you.

Protecting Free Speech: Pushing Back on Europe’s Censorship Agenda

This week, the House Judiciary Committee held a hearing on Europe’s growing threat to American free speech and innovation. European censorship laws target U.S. companies, stifle innovation, and even reach into how Americans can speak freely online.

America was built on freedom, including the right to debate, disagree, and voice our opinions without government retaliation. Unfortunately, Europe is taking a different path by imposing sweeping rules that force platforms to police online content, silence viewpoints the government dislikes, and punish companies that refuse to comply. These kinds of laws discourage open debate abroad and threaten our own freedoms here at home.

We questioned witnesses, including The Rt. Hon. Nigel Farage, about these dangerous censorship models and the risks they pose here at home. House Republicans remain committed to ensuring your right to free speech is defended and preserved.

Fighting for Flood Relief in Wisconsin

Wisconsinites are still reeling from the devastating floods that destroyed more than 1,500 homes and caused millions in damages across our communities.

I joined my colleagues in the Wisconsin congressional delegation in a bipartisan letter to President Trump requesting a Major Disaster Declaration so our state can access the relief it desperately needs.

We’re grateful for FEMA’s swift assessments and will keep fighting until our communities receive the support they deserve.

Weekly Roundup

Monday was Labor Day. We celebrated the incredible men and women whose hard work builds our communities and fuels the American Dream. Thank you for your commitment every single day.

Labor Day 2025

80 years ago, WWII came to a close with Japan’s surrender aboard the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay.

On Tuesday, we honored the brave who secured victory and all who have fought to defend freedom.

Last week, I toured Generac’s new facility in Beaver Dam. Generac pioneered affordable home standby generators and designed the first engine built specifically for generator use. Today, they’re the #1 manufacturer of home backup power.

I’m proud to see this new facility right here in Wisconsin’s Sixth District, a testament to hard work, innovation, and the strength of American manufacturing.

I was honored to attend the Ozaukee Impact Awards, celebrating the hardworking men and women who strengthen our community every day.

Hearing the stories of my constituents’ dedication and service was truly inspiring!

Thank you to Ozaukee Nonprofit Center for hosting a meaningful event and highlighting the people who make Ozaukee County so special.

Last weekend, I joined members of the community at Green Lake LakeApalooza to close out summer and wrap up the August work period.

From families coming together, local talent on display, and the shared spirit that keeps Wisconsin strong, these events make our community so special.

I stopped by Apache Stainless last week for a tour of their facility. Since 1975, they’ve been building stainless tanks and food processing equipment with the kind of Midwestern work ethic that defines our district.

I’m grateful to Apache for showing me the impressive work they’re doing every day.
