Offices Open on Presidents' Day

When I was a lawyer in the private sector, I was always frustrated when the government would take off for federal holidays while I was working.

Now that I work in government, I want my office and staff to be available to the residents of the Sixth District. You’ll be working and your businesses will be open – your government should be, too.

Education & the Workforce Subcommittee

On Thursday, I questioned human resource professionals, labor policy experts and business owners about federal wages and the overtime rule at an Education and the Workforce Protections Subcommittee hearing.

Specifically, I questioned our witnesses about the impact of the overtime rule and their suggestions on changes to the wage and hour policy.
