Taking Action Against Antisemitism in the Education and Workforce Committee

On Tuesday, the Education and Workforce Committee held a hearing on antisemitism in higher education. We questioned faculty from Georgetown University, the City University of New York, and the University of California, Berkeley.

We examined the key drivers behind rising antisemitism on campus, including diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, foreign funding, and faculty members promoting antisemitic views. I emphasized a critical point: this is not a widespread problem across all sectors of society. You don’t see hearings like this one on construction sites or on most workplaces. It’s an issue deeply rooted in our education system, and that should concern all of us.

This hearing built on previous Committee work, where we investigated violent pro-Hamas encampments and extremist student groups. But this time, we focused on the root causes, because we cannot allow this hatred to fester.

We must defend Jewish students and faculty, uphold ideological freedom, and restore a culture of respectful dialogue on our campuses. The universities represented at this hearing have failed to address the sources of antisemitism, leading to rising hostility, shrinking ideological diversity, and weakened academic discourse.

Republicans on the Education and Workforce Committee will not stop fighting until antisemitism is eradicated from our college campuses.

The Department of Defense Appropriations Act of 2026

This week, the House passed the Department of Defense Appropriations Act of 2026. This critical legislation invests in America’s military strength, secures our homeland, and supports the brave men and women in uniform.

We’re equipping our troops with the tools they need to succeed, from cutting-edge technology to upgraded defense systems that keep us ahead on the global stage.

Our service members are the backbone of this country. They deserve our full support to complete their missions safely and effectively.

I was proud to stand with them and vote in favor of this important bill.

Crypto Week in the House

This week was Crypto Week in the House, and we made big strides to protect financial freedom and promote innovation.

I proudly voted in favor of the Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act, which blocks the creation of a Central Bank Digital Currency. This stops unelected bureaucrats from imposing a government-controlled digital dollar that would threaten Americans’ financial privacy.

We’re standing up for individual liberty, safeguarding free market principles, and ensuring the future of digital finance reflects American values, not surveillance and control.

I was honored to attend the 150th anniversary celebration of the Adell Fire Department at Sherman Station last weekend.
