Congratulations, Judge Neil Gorsuch |
Congratulations to Judge Neil Gorsuch on his confirmation to the Supreme Court. His track record and Conservative voice make him a worthy choice.
I look forward to his career as a capable and thoughtful justice who works to staunchly defend the Constitution. |
Education and the Workforce Subcommittee |
On Wednesday, I spoke at an Education and the Workforce Subcommittee hearing about a bill I'm co-sponsoring, the Working Families Flexibility Act.
This bill gives private-sector employers the ability to let their employees choose how they would like to be compensated for any overtime hours worked - either with monetary compensation or additional paid time off.

As the April 18, 2017, tax filing deadline approaches, I want to pass along some useful information for those who may be expecting to receive a tax return.
If you would like to know the personalized status of your tax refund, you can visit irs.gov and select “Where’s My Refund”. To better protect taxpayers from the rise of identity theft, the IRS has advised that your tax return may take a couple of extra weeks to arrive this year. For assistance with the IRS, please visit www.irs.gov for filing options, as well as other services and resources.
