Working Families Flexibility Act
Several weeks ago, I wrote in my newsletter about the importance of the Working Families Flexibility Act, which gives hourly employees the option of choosing either monetary compensation or additional paid time off for any overtime worked.

I'm a cosponsor of the bill, and this week I voted to pass this bill out of the Education and the Workforce Committee.

Employees should be able to choose how they would like to be compensated for the time they work. This bill simply creates that flexibility for employees, so they can spend more time with their families or take additional time off.

This bill ensures that employees -- not Washington – decide what’s in their own best interest and in the best interests of their families.

Wisconsin in D.C.
This week, I met with the Wisconsin Orthopedic Society to discuss important issues related to musculoskeletal health care.

I also enjoyed hearing the stories of four brave young women from Wisconsin who were in D.C. representing One Step Camp, an organization that runs summer camps and other fun programs for kids with cancer.
