Business Spotlight: 5k Fibres

This week, I toured 5K Fibres in Neenah, an innovative Wisconsin manufacturer producing American-made non-woven fabrics and the specialized machinery used to make them.

What makes 5K Fibres unique is that they both design and build the equipment used in their manufacturing process and produce the finished materials here in the United States. Their products support a variety of critical industries, including healthcare, filtration, emergency response, and environmental cleanup.

During my visit, I learned more about the company's efforts to expand opportunities for American-made products and strengthen domestic manufacturing. I was also impressed by their commitment to serving local communities, including donating absorbent materials to assist flood recovery efforts in Fremont and Shiocton.

Manufacturers like 5K Fibres showcase the innovation that makes Wisconsin a leader in American manufacturing. Thank you to the team for the tour and for their continued investment in the Sixth District.

America 250 Essay Contest

As we prepare to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation, I am pleased to invite students across Wisconsin’s Sixth Congressional District to participate in the America 250 Essay Contest.

This contest is an opportunity for students in grades 6-12 to reflect on the principles that have made America the greatest country in the world and to share their thoughts on the future of our constitutional republic. In addition to strengthening their writing and critical thinking skills, students will have the chance to engage with the values and institutions that have shaped our nation for nearly two and a half centuries.

The winning essay in each age division will be published in the Congressional Record, displayed in my Washington, D.C. and Fond du Lac offices, and the student will receive an American flag flown over the U.S. Capitol.

Entries must be submitted by July 31, 2026. I encourage all eligible students to participate and look forward to reading their essays.

Happy Father's Day

Father’s Day is a special opportunity to reflect on the men who help shape our lives through their guidance and steady support. I was blessed to have a wonderful father, Harold, whose values and work ethic continue to influence me every day.

This Father’s Day, I hope you have the chance to celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who have made a difference in your life.

Happy Father’s Day!
