COVID-19 Web Page

The COVID-19 outbreak has affected life in the United States and throughout the world. But, we are learning more about the virus every day and working toward a return to normalcy. We in Congress are continuing our work to provide assistance to families and small business, expand access to personal protective equipment and testing capabilities to our health care providers and outlining a pathway for our country to safely begin reopening.

If you have questions about topics ranging from assistance for small businessesEconomic Impact Payments and activities you and your children can enjoy while schools are closed, I have created a COVID-19 Information section on my website with resources that my staff and I have collected.

Don't see the information you need? Please let me know so we can add it to the web page.

2020 Census

The 2020 U.S. Census is in full swing. Currently, 54.6% of households nationwide have completed the Census. We in Wisconsin are beating the national average with 62.1% reporting and the Sixth District is outperforming other parts of the state with 67% reporting!

The United States conducts the Census every 10 years in order to accurately account for its citizens, determine Congressional districts and many more important reasons. It's important that we get the information right and as many people as possible participate. Each household in the country is asked to complete the Census online, by phone or by mail. It will only take approximately ten minutes for you to complete the Census to ensure you and your family members are counted. In March, each mailing address in the country was sent a unique code in order to fill out the questionnaire. If you did not receive this code, click here to retrieve it.

The map below shows the most up-to-date self-response rate for each Census tract within Wisconsin's Sixth District. Thank you to everyone who has already completed the Census.

For further information on response rates nationwide, please visit the United states Census 2020 web page.

Weekly Roundup
This Friday, May 1, Governor Evers re-opened state parks. I am glad that Wisconsinites will again be able to enjoy fresh air and exercise in our beautiful Wisconsin parks. Click here to find out which parks are open near you.

The nationwide blood shortage remains as appointments continue to be canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Donating, however, remains a safe, sterile process. The Packers have teamed up with the American Red Cross to hold a blood drive each Friday in May. They will be set up at the Johnsonville Tailgate Village in Green Bay between 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. and will be taking donations by appointment only. Click here to find out how to schedule an appointment. Go Pack Go!

I spoke with the American College of Emergency Physicians about the state of the COVID-19 outbreak in Wisconsin and how we can continue to keep health care workers and first responders safe while treating patients.

Finally, thank you to the patriotic Americans who are working overtime to get our country through this crisis. Your hard work has not gone unnoticed!
