Town Halls
Thanks to everyone in the Town of Algoma, Burnett and Oakfield who joined me this week for town hall meetings. It was great to see all of you!

As your Representative, I believe that one of the most important parts of my job is hearing what issues matter most to you. These town hall meetings are one of the best ways I can make sure your voice and our Wisconsin values are being heard in Washington.

Stay tuned into to my E-newsletter for updates on my next town hall meetings.

March for Life
I believe life begins at conception.

The March for Life is a great event that I encourage anyone wishing to stand up and protect the rights of unborn human lives to participate. Each year, tens of thousands of people gather on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. to celebrate life and bring awareness to the growing pro-life movement. This year's March for Life was historic, as President Trump became the first sitting U.S. President to speak at the event, where he reaffirmed our shared belief that each newborn child is a sacred gift from God.

Recently, I took to the floor of the House to speak in support of the sanctity of human life and rights of the unborn. We have a moral and civic duty to protect those who are voiceless and defenseless, namely our unborn children.

District Work Period
As you may have noticed, I spent the whole week working from Wisconsin. Typically, the House of Representatives works in Washington three weeks per month (in-session) and one week per month from the district (out-of-session).

When the House is in-session, we are in Washington having committee hearings, policy meetings and briefings, voting on bills, among other things. When Congress is out-of-session, each member has the chance to go back to his or her district to stay in touch with the people who elected them.

I am back in Wisconsin every weekend and weekday that Congress is not in-session because I believe that the best representatives in government are citizens of the area represented, as I have been my whole life. Thus, it is a vital part of my job to circle the Sixth District to talk to folks like you about your greatest thoughts and concerns of the day.

Having an entire week in Wisconsin makes it easier to plan meetings with constituents and visits to local businesses. If you would like to meet with me or have me tour your facility in the district, please call my Fond du Lac office at 920-907-0624. Additionally, if you know of a community event that I should attend, such as a brat fry, church fundraiser, firemen's picnic or annual celebration, please let me know by clicking here. I hope to see you soon!

Weekly Roundup

At the annual Sheboygan Economic Outlook Breakfast, we discussed Sheboygan County's successes in 2019 and how we can build upon them in 2020. I was glad to be able to catch up with the Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce's Executive Director Deidre Martinez, Lakeshore Technical College President Paul Carlsen and Plymouth Mayor Don Pohlman.

A big thanks to the Susan B. Anthony List for all of the work you do for the pro-life movement. I’m honored to receive your “A” rating for my work in Congress to protect the unborn.

Luckily, this photo from Leroy-Knowles Country Riders Snowmobile Club Winter Picnic was taken indoors where it was warm!

We use plastic every day. You may be using a product from Redline Plastics in Manitowoc right now! Thanks for showing me your facility and providing another great example of manufacturing in Wisconsin's Sixth District.

Bob Ziegelbauer and I served in the state assembly together. Though he was an Independent, he was always one of my best friends and a fellow representative who was willing to find bipartisan solutions. He now serves as the County Executive of Manitowoc County.
