Flooding in Wisconsin
If you have friends or loved ones living in Dane, Columbia, Iowa, Sauk, Dodge, Green, Green Lake Lafayette, Adams, Sheboygan county or the surrounding area, please take a minute, if you haven't already, to call them to make sure they are safe during this record-amount of flooding.

Read more here.

My office has also been in contact with FEMA about whether national funds can be used to alleviate some of the stress on these areas. They are aware of the dire situation and have been in contact with other state officials on how to best address the situation.

If you plan on travelling, here is a live map of the state's highway closures. Here is an expanded list of local road closures. If you are travelling locally, or don't see your area on either of these resources, please contact your local authorities for road closure status.

Weekly Roundup
Congratulations to Webster’s Marketplace on earning the Ripon, WI Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year award!

It’s always a pleasure to speak with the hard-working small business owners of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association. Thanks to Chirag Shah (a sixth district native) and Jordan Heiliczer for keeping me updated on this important industry.

I spoke with the Credit Union National Association about the credit union industry and ways we can cut burdensome regulations to allow the industry to grow and better serve their communities.

Convenience stores serve 160 million customers every day. I was happy to meet with the National Association of Convenience Stores about ways we can help this industry continue to serve people on-the-go quickly and, yes, conveniently.

Our veterans deserve our unwavering support for the sacrifice they have made to keep our country safe. I'm glad I could meet with veterans from Wisconsin's Sixth District to discuss the issues affecting them.

I had a great meeting with the Wisconsin chapter of the National League of Cities on how to keep Wisconsin’s communities strong.
