This week, I've been back in Wisconsin meeting with business owners, veterans and organizations across the Sixth District.
On Tuesday, I met with UW System President Ray Cross, UW-Oshkosh Chancellor Andrew Leavittand other representatives of the UW System to discuss the system's initiatives, workforce development and college affordability.
I also joined the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce for a round table event covering issues facing small businesses like healthcare and tax reform.
Thank you to Wisconsin members of the Disabled American Veterans for stopping by my Fond du Lac office to discuss expanding caregiver services to veterans of all eras.
Throughout the week, I also toured several factories in the Oshkosh area. I enjoyed meeting employees at A.P. Nonweiler, Corrim Company, Lakeside Plastics and Marvel Manufacturing.
I wrapped up the week by speaking to the Columbia County Farm Bureau and touring the Fond du Lac Salvation Army's Pathway of Hope program, which mentors local families on how to overcome poverty.
