Around the Sixth District
I spent the week at home attending Independence Day celebrations, visiting local businesses and factories and meeting folks from around the Sixth District.

Independence Day
The 4th of July is one of my favorite times of the year. No other place does Independence Day quite like the Sixth District, and I enjoy going to all the events in the area.

I walked in eight parades in Grafton, Wautoma, Elkhart, Neenah, Sheboygan, Cedarburg, Campbellsport and Green Lake.

I also had the chance to visit several festivals and events celebrating the holiday, including Salute the Troops Rock for Hope Concert in Fond du Lac.

Factory Tours
After the 4th of July festivities, I toured several factories in the district.

On Wednesday, I visited We Energies and ProAmpac.

We Energies is a clean coal plant. During my visit, We Energies showcased how it's reduced its emissions by 99 percent.

On my tour with ProAmpac, we discussed aluminum trade issues.
