Last Tuesday, President Trump laid out a bold vision for the future of our country, focusing on strengthening our economy, securing our borders, protecting our children, honoring police and firefighters, and ensuring that every American has the opportunity to achieve success. His commitment to restoring law and order, prioritizing American workers, and streamlining government operations is exactly what we need to put our country back on the right track.
The President reaffirmed his commitment to securing the southern border and upholding the rule of law. Since taking office on January 20, 2025, his administration has taken aggressive action to curb illegal migration, leading to a significant decrease in border crossings. In February, U.S. Border Patrol arrested approximately 8,300 migrants at the southern border—the lowest monthly level on record—compared to 141,000 in February 2024.
Over the past four years, our brave men and women in uniform have been disparaged. President Trump honored them and highlighted both the great sacrifices police officers make and the great work they do to protect our communities. I was also glad to hear acknowledgement of firefighters’ dedication to duty. On July 13, 2024 in Butler, Pennsylvania, President Trump almost lost his life to an assassin. It was by the grace of God that he survived and I believe it is part of His plan to get America back on track. That day, unfortunately, we lost firefighter Corey Comperatore—a true American patriot. I will continue to pray for his family and highlight the great work done by our local firefighters.
I applaud the work of the DOGE committee in finding waste, fraud, and abuse within our government—and the speed at which they are doing it. As the President pointed out, our bloated federal government has spent millions on LGBT issues in Lesotho, making mice transgender, and DEI contracts in the Department of Education. I look forward to working with the DOGE committee through my position on the House Oversight Committee, Budget Committee, and the DOGE Caucus in ending brazen and absurd wastes of your tax dollars.
I was honored to be in attendance for President Trump's Joint Address to Congress and congratulate the President on his clear, concise speech about restoring American greatness. I look forward to the great work of President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump to produce an American comeback and will work with them and the whole Administration to help create the greatest four years of American prosperity in my lifetime.

Over the past four years, millions of individuals have crossed our borders illegally, overwhelming communities across the country. In many cases, this influx has led to increased crime and dangerous activity, putting innocent Americans at risk. It is deeply concerning that some jurisdictions not only refuse to enforce federal immigration law but also actively shield illegal immigrants from prosecution. Rewarding these sanctuary cities with federal tax dollars is unacceptable and undermines the rule of law.
Last week, the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform investigated. We held a hearing on Wednesday with sanctuary city mayors from New York, Boston, Chicago, and Denver. During the hearing, we asked questions of these mayors about their unwillingness or inability to denounce their cities’ reckless policies that forbid their officials, including those in law enforcement and public safety officers, from sharing critical information with the federal government about criminal illegal aliens in custody or transferring them to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in a secure setting. Sadly, these mayors did not provide adequate answers that would produce real policy changes in our cities in the future.
Congress must continue to build upon the Trump Administration’s efforts to curb illegal migration and ensure taxpayer funds are not assisting it. Sanctuary policies undermine federal immigration law, endanger public safety, and threaten national security.

Each spring the U.S. House of Representatives sponsors the Artistic Discovery Competition, which was established to encourage and recognize the creative endeavors of our nation’s high school students. Each member of the U.S. House of Representatives coordinates a competition among the students attending high schools in the congressional district he or she currently represents.
In each participating district, students are invited to submit an original work created in a two-dimensional medium. Since its inception in 1982, more than 650,000 students have participated in the competition. The winning entry from each participating district is eligible to be flown out to Washington, D.C. for a national reception and is included in the annual National Exhibition, which is displayed in the Cannon House Office Building Tunnel for one year.
I am pleased to announce that I am currently accepting applications!
Artwork submissions for the 2025 Artistic Discovery Competition may be delivered or mailed to my Fond du Lac district office on or before Monday, April 14, 2025. Please click here for more information.
I look forward to seeing this year’s work and meeting the talented artists!

I had a valuable meeting with Breakthrough T1D to discuss federal research initiatives that help produce life-changing advancements for the diabetes community. I've long been a strong advocate for the Special Diabetes Program and will continue to advocate for policies that make these breakthroughs possible.

The Navy Reserve has been a cornerstone of commitment and patriotism. On March 3, we recognized the establishment of the Naval Reserve Act in 1915 and honored the incredible men and women, past and present, whose service has kept our nation strong. Thank you - for your leadership, and unwavering dedication to our country.
