Town Hall Meetings

It is my responsibility to take your questions and hear your feedback so I can better serve you in Washington, which is why I greatly value holding town hall meetings so communities and residents in the Sixth District have a healthy forum to come together and discuss issues of importance.

On Wednesday and Thursday, I held town hall meetings in Pardeeville, Waupun, the Town of Dakota, and Winneconne. I always enjoy giving you a detailed update on what Congress is working on and hearing which issues are affecting you. Thank you to everyone who attended!

Reminder: Vote for the People's Choice Award

Each spring, Members of the House of Representatives sponsor an art competition for high school students across the country. The Congressional Art Competition is an opportunity to recognize and encourage artistic talent across the nation and in Wisconsin.

Now that final submissions of students' artwork from across the Sixth District have been submitted, it is your turn to vote on your favorite piece.

Voting is underway for the "People's Choice" award, where you can see all these wonderful students’ artwork and vote for your favorite. You can cast your vote for the People's Choice award by liking your favorite piece of artwork on my Facebook page, which will serve as the official vote tally.

Cast your vote before Monday, May 8 at 12pm!

Quick Survey on Title 42

Title 42 is currently the most effective tool at the disposal of Border Patrol to deter migrants from attempting to cross the border illegally. By announcing May 11 as the set date for its expiration, the Biden Administration has given criminal Cartels ample time to prepare to increase their vast human smuggling operations upon its termination.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas, has previously warned that abolishing Title 42 could lead to 18,000 migrants per day — more than double the historic averages we’ve seen over the last two years.

As Title 42 is set to expire this coming Thursday, I want your feedback.

This week, I met the patriots behind the Camo Quilt Project in Plymouth who craft quilts for veterans and active-duty servicemembers. Thank you for all you do to support our Armed Forces!

The Elkhart Lake Tourism Industry shines a light on all Wisconsin has to offer to help increase tourism in Elkhart Lake. It was great to join you all for lunch!

Last week, I spoke with students from the Winnebago Lutheran Academy about the importance of civic engagement to better America now and into the future.

Thank you to the team at Sohn Manufacturing Inc. for welcoming me into your facility in Elkhart Lake. I appreciated the tour and speaking with you all about issues facing Wisconsin manufacturers.

It was great to return to my alma mater, Homestead High School in Mequon, to see the work of their nationally-recognized robotics team. Keep up the great work!

It was an honor to salute local Boy Scouts from the Sixth District during your ceremony last week in Appleton.
