During my time serving Wisconsin’s Sixth District in Washington, I have seen that there is no shortage of waste, fraud, and abuse within our federal government and its agencies. That is why it is an honor to be entrusted to serve on the House Oversight Committee, where our mission is to root out these improprieties in order to restore efficiency, transparency, and fairness in Washington.
There are a number of topics that warrant Oversight investigations in the new year — notably, the historic crisis at our Southern border, our disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal, funding historically corrupt countries with American tax dollars, the Biden family’s overseas business dealings, the origins of COVID-19, among many others.
This week, I joined Ranking Member of the House Oversight Committee, James Comer (R-KY), and Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Committee, Jim Jordan (R-OH), in a press conference to discuss the international business dealings of President Biden's family and the national security risk that they may present to the United States, and lay out the priorities of these investigative Committees come January.
