The CREATE JOBS Act

I recently joined Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) in introducing the CREATE JOBS Act, a bicameral bill to restore key pro-manufacturing provisions of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA). This bill incentivizes domestic production and is projected to create over one million full-time jobs for hardworking Americans.

The bill would reinstate and make permanent two expired provisions of the TCJA that were essential in driving manufacturing growth and bringing investment back to the U.S. It also applies neutral cost recovery for structures like factories, ensuring businesses can grow, hire more workers, and raise wages.

Representing the most manufacturing-intensive district in the country, I’ve seen firsthand the impact these policies have on the hardworking men and women of Wisconsin’s Sixth District.

We need to make these provisions permanent to give manufacturers the certainty they need to invest, expand, and hire. I'm proud to work with Senator Cruz to advance legislation that supports American workers and strengthens our industrial base.

Business Spotlight: Watry Industries

Wisconsin’s Sixth District is home to many incredible businesses, and one of them is Watry Industries, an aluminum casting company based in Sheboygan.

I had the pleasure of visiting Watry Industries recently to see their impressive work firsthand. Founded in 1957, Watry specializes in high-quality aluminum products for a variety of sectors, including maritime, medical, and defense. They are committed to innovation and efficiency, constantly improving their casting processes to boost productivity and output.

Watry is also looking to the next generation. They’re eager to see more high school students explore careers in manufacturing and are working to support those opportunities right here in our community.

Watry Industries is focused, efficient, and dedicated. I’m proud to represent a district with businesses like Watry, and I’ll continue fighting in Washington to support the hardworking men and women behind them.

Helping My Constituents: A Sixth District Success Story

A family from Wisconsin’s Sixth District was headed to Peru, but there was one big problem. A constituent named Michael realized his passport had expired just hours before his flight out of O’Hare.

Michael contacted my Fond du Lac office with an urgent deadline, and we got to work. We were able to secure him an immediate appointment at the Chicago Passport Center, where he successfully renewed his passport and made it onto his flight that same afternoon.

We’re thrilled we could help Michael join his family and enjoy their trip together. Whether it's passport help or navigating another federal agency, my office is here to serve you.

I had a terrific time at the Father’s Day car show in Fond du Lac last weekend. With hundreds of cars and trucks from across Wisconsin, it was a dream for any auto enthusiast.

One of the highlights was chatting with John Huber about his stunning red 1961 International Scout. It was truly a beauty.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a fantastic event.

It was an honor to visit Evelyn Houghton at Heartland House in Wautoma last weekend.
