One year into the Trump administration, regulations are down, tax reform has passed and now Wisconsin families are seeing more money in their pockets.
That is why it was so great to hear that Northeast Wisconsin is going to see 1,500 new jobs from 13 different companies, 995 of which are in the 6th district.
Wisconsin will always be my home. That is why I am so excited that Wisconsinites now have so many opportunities for good, well-paying jobs. I am committed to continue working for the people of Wisconsin.

President Trump gave his first State of the Union Address on Tuesday and I was very pleased with his speech. I was glad to see him cover the issues I hear from Wisconsinites every day – economy, national security, health care and bipartisanship.
His address highlighted Congress' success in 2017 to help families, cut harmful regulations, grow the economy and make America safe. The president also laid out his bold vision for the future and spoke about the work we still must accomplish with the economy, infrastructure, immigration reform, trade and national security.

This week, major progress was made to provide the military with the funds it needs to defend our nation. With my support, the House passed H.R. 695, the Department of Defense Appropriations Act and it now awaits action in the Senate.
As Americans, we are blessed to live in the greatest and most powerful nation in the world. Our military is the best trained and most feared across the globe because it combines the bravest soldiers and the most technologically advanced equipment in the world. It is important that we continue to provide the necessary funding and equipment for our military during every aspect of their service.

On Tuesday, my brother-in-law, Mark, joined me at the State of the Union address. He also brought some Wisconsin-made treats for out office dog Todd. Thanks, Mark!
Wayne Jurecki of Bell Ambulance stopped by on Thursday to tell me about Emergency Medical Services and the life-saving work done by his company.
