Earning the rank of Eagle Scout demonstrates perseverance, discipline, and bravery. By accepting the responsibilities of troop leadership, Eagle Scouts have all the tools necessary to succeed throughout their lives.

I always enjoy attending Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremonies around the Sixth District. It is an honor to meet the scouts and their families and present them with a certificate of special Congressional recognition. Eagle Scouts work extremely hard for their badges, and I look forward to seeing how they serve their communities in the years ahead.

The annual Congressional App Challenge (CAC) presents an opportunity for middle and high school students in the Sixth District to showcase their coding skills on the national stage. Every year, the CAC invites students across the country to submit an app in its annual coding competition.

The winner from the Sixth District, chosen by a panel of expert judges, will have their app featured on the CAC website. The winning app will also be eligible to be on display for visitors of the U.S. Capitol, along with other winning apps from across the country.

The competition is designed to promote innovation and engagement in computer science and coding. Students who plan to participate must register online and submit their app by November 1, 2023.

Our trainwreck of a border has allowed deadly drugs to enter our communities, resulting in over 100,000 overdose deaths in both 2021 and 2022.

Border Patrol needs the resources to interdict the overflow of lethal drugs. The President's neglect is subjecting the American people to danger.
