Grothman Statement on Supreme Court Ruling on Biden’s Vaccine Mandate

Washington, January 14, 2022 | Kyle Amato (202-225-2476)

Congressman Glenn Grothman (WI-06) released the following statement regarding the Supreme Court ruling on President Biden’s vaccine mandate.

“While it is good news that the Supreme Court issued a stay blocking the Biden Administration’s vaccine mandate for private businesses, I am disappointed the court upheld the mandate for workers in federally-funded healthcare facilities. The Justices imply that the vaccine prevents these workers from transmitting the virus to their patients, meanwhile, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has acknowledged that no vaccine is capable of preventing the transmission of COVID-19. Because of this reality, there is scarce logic behind forcing vaccinations upon these healthcare workers, especially those that have developed natural antibodies, which likely provides superior immunity than vaccine-induced immunity,” said Congressman Grothman.
