Six Wisconsin Lawmakers Named 'Friends of Farm Bureau'

By: Wisconsin AG Connection

The state's largest farm organization has recognized six federal lawmakers as 'Friends of the Farm Bureau' based on their advocacy for agriculture during the previous congressional session.

Board members of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau say U.S. Senators Ron Johnson and Tammy Baldwin, along with Reps. Ron Kind, Mike Gallagher, Glenn Grothman and Bryan Steil met the requirements for the award.

"The recipients of the Friend of Farm Bureau award have supported policies or taken special action that benefit Wisconsin farm families," said WFBF President Joe Bragger. "Having elected officials who support agriculture is essential to a bright future for our farms and rural communities."

The award is presented every two years.
