U.S. Rep. Glenn Grothman (R-Wisconsin) released the following statement upon welcoming Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to a joint session of Congress today.

“It was a pleasure to hear Prime Minister Netanyahu today. He reemphasized the need for unity between Israel and the United States to combat terrorism and protect our allies,” said Congressman Grothman. “It was particularly important to highlight the degree to which Iran is aggressively pursuing its nuclear program and extending its reach into Syria, Yemen, Iraq and Lebanon. The dangers of a nuclear Iran are not to be underestimated; we must work together to promote stability in the Middle East and prevent a nuclear Iran. The United States must stand with Israel, and honor our long-standing commitment to one of our closest allies.”
