Rep. Grothman Statement on Tree of Life Synagogue Shooting

Congressman Glenn Grothman (R-Glenbeulah) today released the following statement on the shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh.

“This past Saturday, the Jewish community and the United States as a whole suffered a great loss at the hands of hatred fueled violence and anti-Semitism. My prayers go out to the victims, their loved ones, all of the members of the Tree of Life Synagogue and the city of Pittsburgh, as we mourn and remember the lives of the 11 individuals who were killed in this senseless act of violence. Additionally, I want to thank the first responders who courageously apprehended the attacker and put their lives on the line, your service is greatly appreciated. Yesterday, as funeral preparations began for the first of the 11 victims, President Trump traveled to Pittsburgh to grieve with members of the Jewish community and express his support. I have always been a close supporter of the Jewish community and I will stand alongside them during this difficult time. Anti-Semitic beliefs have no place in our country and such cowardly acts should be punished under the strictest interpretation of our criminal justice system.”
