(Washington, D.C.) – Congressman Glenn Grothman (R-Glenbeulah) today released the following statement in celebration of National Manufacturing Day.
“In Wisconsin, we’re really good at making stuff. That’s what we do; especially in the Sixth District where 80,000 of our citizens wake up and go to work at factories and manufacturing facilities – more than almost any other place in the country.
“Wisconsin’s manufacturing industry keeps our state at the forefront of job creation and innovation. To all those who work in manufacturing, I hope you have a wonderful National Manufacturing Day as you work hard to continue to grow the economy of Wisconsin.”
Background
National Manufacturing Day was created in 2014 to educate the public about manufacturing careers and the value of manufacturing to the country’s economy. It’s celebrated annually on the first Friday in October.
Wisconsin’s Sixth District has more manufacturing jobs than any other congressional district in the nation.
